n810 and bluetooth DUN
My n810 is paired with nokia 5800 through bluetooth for internet access. I found this is slower then using WIFI through Joikuspot with 5800, I suspect that may due to the default baud rate of bluetooth DUN between n810 and 5800 is 115200(112k). How can I increase the baud rate to higher value? Thanks.

Re: n810 and bluetooth DUN
Any one has similar experience? I have tried pairing 5800 with my atom netbook, the internet connection speed is much faster after I changed the baud rate to 921600 from default value 115200.

Re: n810 and bluetooth DUN
I tried to look into the issue and found some files that may related to bluetooth DUN:
/etc/ppp/options - no entry for baud rate /etc/ppp/peers/provider - changed speed of serial line to 921600 /tmp/icd-ppp-options - changed line contain 115200 to 921600, but reverted to 115200 after successful bluetooth DUN connection Any idea? |
Re: n810 and bluetooth DUN
some quick poking seems to indicate that the icd file in /tmp is generated when DUN is made to connect using the internet connection daemon (ICD), and then run as the PPP script used.
where that generation happens, now thats a different story... looks like ICD is one of nokia's cute little black boxes of tricks... |
