Any way to run apps on the external card?
 

I was thinking to just copy over the directories, but not sure if I would have to change the paths to get them to work...

With some you can but you can not be sure 100% which one is which if you don't look/have the source code . Just clone the system to the external card with a big partition to store the system+apps.
So the solution is still cloning to the external card.

I have about 1G for system (maemo)+apps and it seems enough.

Thanks how do I clone the system?? dd? and how do I boot to said new partition? I don't plan on using the device for movies or music, so the 8gb I have in there should be more than sufficient... If I create a 1gb part..

Also I have 2 8gb cards so if I save my maemopad notes and my ebooks to the internal memory card. Would I be able to just copy the Cloned system to each of the cards? Thanks in advance.

Doh... Sorry guys... I posted too soon... I had found the thread on how to clone the system to the internal memory.. Thanks in advance
