Not really a competitor
I saw this in an ad on Google Reader:
http://www.lightinthebox.com/Mini-La...PS_p37669.html It's not really a NIT competitor, but what I like about it is the layout. Functional buttons that can also be used as 4-way Dpads, it looks like. A wider, and a bit longer, than a NIT. If they were 5-way Dpads, and the screen slid up and tilted, though, that would be almost the perfect tablet layout, IMO. (well, that, and had full phone capabilities) |
Re: Not really a competitor
somewhat underpowered, perhaps.
but yes, the design is interesting. |
Re: Not really a competitor
Yeah, in terms of things other than the device design/layout, it's not going to be competition for anyone really. Wimpy CPU, etc.

Re: Not really a competitor
I'm willing to review it and give you my 2c if someone can tell me who to contact to get one. I can't find any corporate contact info for the parent company. Just the reseller.
Also, I don't like the idea that it's got WinCE on it, but heck, it wouldn't take much work to put a nice copy of Maemo or Ubuntu on that sucker. ;) |
