FM radio on Nokia N810
 

I can't seem to get the FM radio on my Nokia N810 to work. It worked fine on my N800. It loads ok on the N810 and I can search for local stations, but no sound. Has anyone else had this problem?

The N810 doesn't have a FM radio receiver built in, only the N800 does.

It works on my n810. Make sure you have the right repositories

But, I'd assume that the app will launch on the N810 whether or not it received an FM signal.

The answer would have been "Everybody with an n810 has this problem" :D

It's a well known problem caused by the missing fm hardware in the n810.

I am just trying to verify my worst fears....that Nokia did not include the FM radio in the N810. I was concentrating my research on the GPS and qwerty keyboard just assuming that the 810 has the FM radio. I just got mine and was surprised to find it was not there. I called Nokia and all she said was "we don't support the app". She did not say anything about the hardware. So, the question is whether to keep this now that I have lost the FM radio (obviously I can get the stations if I am on the internet...I was hoping to avoid that) and since the GPS & qwerty keyboard are both marginal.

Will seeing the lack of FM tuner listed on Wikipedia help verify it for you?
