touchscreen defect :(
 

Hey guys, the touchscreen on my 770 does not respond at all anymore, I cannot control my device, I can only use the keys, nott the screen itself.
I asume there is no way of fixing this,
and if there is not,
how can I still use it without the screen?

Btw the screen protection thing isn't on the device again, there was a big tear in the protector so I took it off, however the screen beneath it does not seem to be damaged, anything further I can do about this?

So I reflashed it, didn't work same problem, I also called Nokia, they said I had to go to some kind of care point, I cannot send it to them nor retrieve a new one,
now the problem being I bought the damn thing from a accuantance of mine so I do not have the warrenty, neither does he,

Does anyone know a solution please?

Look around the edge of the screen in case there's something wedged in the crack. A grain of sand, or a hair, can result in the tablet thinking that the screen is being permenently pressed at that point. Maybe when you took of the screen protector, a tiny bit of plastic broke loose and got stuck?
