Personal Menu, advanced backlight, large clock

After my camera application froze I had to pop the battery to shut down and restart. Now I'm having issues getting the personal menu, advanced backlight and statusbar clock to stay. They had all disappeared after i rebooted and I got them back on but now they're back off again... Do I need to reinstall the lot of them?

Try going to contol panel and selecting panels (double touch) and press ok.

I've done that and it does come back but disappears after a while again and everything goes back to the factory look.

disable alarms in the large statusbar clock. your problem will disappear.

I don't have alarms enabled and it still happens perhaps every 2 days. Usually when it is loading a web site (BBC news) and I have Canola running (but not playing) in the background.

BTW, my desktop also gets reset and I have to re-select all my apps again.

Sounds like a royal pain in the butt!

My problem seems to have gone away... I'll check again in 2 days and reply.

it all comes down to hildon-desktop crashing for some reason or other, as then it will come back up in factory default mode so as to avoid a crash loop.
