XPPhone

Looks a little on the thick side, but otherwise similar in overall shape to an N810 ... just clearly a little bit bigger (it looks like it probably pushes the limits of "pocketable" ... esp. for people who already think the N800 pushes that limit (my pockets can go a little bigger than an N800, though)). And running _XP_ (a bad thing in my book, but I'm sure it's a good thing in other people's books ... but it holds promise for running other PC OSes). Hopefully Nokia will notice that an N810 sized phone (with 4"+ screen) could, in fact, work. Maybe even something this size, but with an ARM cpu and Maemo (though I'd probably want to clean up that keyboard a little... I don't know that we really need a touch screen AND dpad AND trackpad ... I'd dump the trackpad, probably). |
Re: XPPhone
I like this... pro'ly heavy too.

Re: XPPhone
400g heavy, to be precise. Industrial pockets only :) Also, not many people will be happy with a phone that lasts 7 hours on a charge...

"Is than an XPPhone in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?"

Re: XPPhone
thats one very small keyboard.
Still, if the cpu can go into a state close to hibernation, while the phone radio is still powered up, things could be interesting. Mind, it would have to be xp stripped to the bone, with a custom interface on top... Or maybe they went with the HTC solution, a arm phone in the same shell as a X86 pc? |
