Does this flash upgrade affect us?

Re: Does this flash upgrade affect us?
Nah.. These devices are EOL. Unless they open up the runtime, what we have is what we have.

Also note that the tablets don't have an Nvidia GPU, they have a PowerVR GPU that does not currently have drivers.

As it stands, I am having a very hard time finding anything that doesn't want me to download the latest flash from adobe :-/ |
Re: Does this flash upgrade affect us?
I just sent an email to the openscreen people.
I was very polite (which took some work ;)). Maybe they'll help us update flash! (I'm not holding my breath, tho :-/) |

Re: Does this flash upgrade affect us?
I have serious reservations about projects which are platforms within platforms. I mean, seriously - 'develop once and deploy everywhere' ? Isn't that a transliteration of the Java 'write once, run anywhere' motto ? These efforts always managed to turn out as write once, debug everywhere :( Let's see if this conglomerate does any better - I don't think so, but let's give them the benefit of a doubt.

Well, as an interesting aside, HTML 5 will end the need for flash. All you'll need is an HTML5 compliant browser, and support installed for open codecs and the problem of flash goes away. :)
