Kismet + GPS
 

Just wondering if anybody here is interested in getting minigpsd or ANY gps daemon to allow Kismet to poll it.

Kismet 2008.05.R1 on the N810. It's attempting to connect to the internal GPS, however fails and spits out "GPS API should be called as user and not as root". I'd prefer to use the built-it/hildon GPS, however if this can't be fixed, I guess I'll use my E71 and pair over.

Kismet does drop priv's and is running at a lower uid than root.

Does anybody have a fix for this? Does the kismer server have to be patched?

I have gotten kismet to work with the internal gps as well as external bluetooth gps. Go a nice tutorial on how to get it all working from scratch.
