Turn ID3 dissecting off?
How can I get EVERY application that has a file browser to STOP trying to dissect every media file on huge drives for its media tag information? ID3 info downloading my whole network drive with thousands of files locks the tablet forever until it runs out of memory.
When I open a file manager, any media player, any other program that needs to list filenames in a folder, I want it to do NOTHING automatically, like tear apart and store and display ID3 tag info on 5000 MP3 files or thumbnail 12,283 jpegs or thumbnail the movies....which is impossible. The tablet finds my network drives, my 120GB portable MP3 player as a USB drive, but will never be useful as long as it can't just list the directories without all this automatic crap I can't seem to control. Thanks for any help.... Larry |
Re: Turn ID3 dissecting off?
Couldn't agree more, i'm no interested in the file open dialogs counting files in subdirectories either.
There's got to be a way to stop these madening behaviours. Looking forward to a solution. |
