Looking for N810 for around $200
Well, I'm trying to find an N810 on a limited budget, hopefully around $200, up to $230 with a card. TWICE now have I found one I wanted, full packages with cards and shipping within my budge,t and I've gone back the day I got paid and they were OUT OF STOCK with no restocking date. Can anyone help me out? Should I just give up and go with a used one on Amazon? (I've sworn off ebay, pretty much)

You just missed Buy.com selling them for 179.99.

Re: Looking for N810 for around $200
Actually, Buy.com was the last one who ended out of stock. I was about two whole months off the $179 deal, but they DID have them for $199.99 with a complimentary $5 coupon for new customers. Then I added on an 8GB micro SD card with adapter, which gave me a $10 coupon instead of a $5, which brought my total to $213. Well, I sgned on just moments before posting this thread....OUT OF STOCK NO LONGER SOLD BY MERCHANT was on the item page, and the only other ones they had were $240. Even the used ones. My original purchase point was Amazon, with a new one at $199.99 with no coupon, free shipping, and a $11 6GB card with adapter, I signed first thing yesterday to out of stock no restock date
Now all I can find are $240-$480 , and all I have to spend is $240 (including shipping) at the moment. I'd hate to think that a rush on them is going to keep me from joining this great community (rush on them: Amazon had 10 in for $200. Next day, out of stock. Buy.com had 15 for $200. Next day, out of stock.) |
Re: Looking for N810 for around $200
sorry wowbagger, but 180 Euros comes out to 253.71 U.S. dollars, a bit more than I have to spend at the moment. And then shipping from Germany to America would be a bit much.

So should I just go with a used model on Amazon? They start at $170.

I guess I'll have to draw a temporary truce with Ebay. It seems to be the only place to get them at a good price anymore.

Re: Looking for N810 for around $200
I ordered from Buy.com TWICE The first time it complained of bad address (yet they shipped a book and SD card with the same order, and cancelled the N810 part, without trying to contact me about the address issue). Then I ordered again, they automatically cancelled the N810 part of the order because of unverified Paypal account (yet they happilly took my money for the other part of the order, another book and screen covers for the N810). Now they jack up the price, took long enough to refund my money (several days, some confusion with Paypal supposedly). I went to the trouble to get myself verified, only to lose out on the sale, all because of them! I think I will not order anything else from them. If they are out of stock, just say so, don't play games with my order!
Sorry for the ranting, still annoyed I don't have my N810 at a good price. :( |
Re: Looking for N810 for around $200
I know how you feel, civil. I ended up ordering that one on Ebay. If it doesn't work out, at least I get a "reset button" in two weeks -- another paycheck with yet another $240 buffer. And if it isn't as stated I can take it up with both Ebay and Paypal to try and get it back, even if it isn't right away. I don't particularly care about the car kit and extra stylus, all I need is A stylus, the USB cable, and the AC adapter.
I tried both Amazon AND Buy and they BOTH went out of stock the day I planned on ordering. Amazon jacked up the price on the out-of-stock item to $240. Buy is saying that the merchant no longer carries the item. Both said that had at least 10 units each the day before ordering. |
