Off-Topic: Peek

If you don't want a cell phone..but want to be able to be connected via emails anywhere (not just via WiFi) then Peek may be an option for you.

I just found out about it and am looking at maybe getting one..thing is..it would be yet one more gadget to carry around....

Basically it's $15/month and the device is either $20 or $60. No contract as you pay as you go.

I kinda like that I can send and receive SMS messages as part of the unlimited emailing service..and send Tweets :)

It was Wired Magazine's Gear of the Year and they have it at..Costco :)

EDIT: Nvm...just read that currently they have a 12K/email limit. Pfft!

Connectivity appears to be via T-Mobile GPRS. Email is text-only. The $14.99/month service price and text messaging are only available with the more expensive ($59.95) Peek Pronto.

It's interesting, but I'll stick with my cheaper (though slower) Boost setup.

Boost is not a bad deal really.
