Deblet Sound Problem?
hi everybody
at the end i could get debian work on my N810 but still im trying to get sound work. i know there is already a couple of topics.but im always having problems almost on every step of instruction. anyway... briefly i got two problems; the first error is the one that i got after this command:apt-get install alsa-base alsa-utils libasound2-plugins alsa-oss error is: Quote:

I think sound was always a problem on Deblet. That project is, unfortunately, dead now.
I suggest you install Mer instead. You will have access to the Ubuntu repositories, which are similar in scope to the Debian ones. |

so.. you mean it is possible to instal ubuntu apps. to Mer?
infact only app. i want to run on this tablet is VLC player. because mplayer is not useful at all also i dont understand why deblet project discontinued it is almost done. even there is a sound-working debian package on internettablettalk.com sorry for my english :D "sound-working" i hope you understand what i wanted to say |

maemo mplayer is excellent. VLC does not run well on the tablets.
If you are having problems getting mplayer to do what you want it to, ask and someone can probably help you... |
