How can i get mobile internet via UMTS ?

There are several tutorials how to get an Huwai E220 running on a N810, but i am not that Linux Pro.
Frankly, i even don't know how to run code on the n810.
Could anyone "translate" the tutorial above into an more Beginner-version...
