Pidgin with Facebook plugin crash
 

Hi,

i just downoaded the last Pidgin from dev (2.5.1-2nix0) and now if I enable tha Facebook account Pidgin crashes.
The Facebook plugin is: 1.36.0nix3

Pidgin on N810 has some problems. Still ICQ problems and now also problems with Facebook.

This post if for the people involved in the Pidgin development for Maemo.

Are you using this plugin?

Try the newest one (version 1.54), but use manual installation. I don't think there is an N8x0 deb.

Same problem; trying to install the linked plugin manually... to no avail. Can anyone who's done this successfully elaborate?

If the plugin installation process is anything like it is in windows, just put it in the /home/user/.purple/plugins folder (home/user is the correct equivalent of "username/documents and settings/application data" right?). You have to create the plugins folder yourself

I guess that's for x86 architecture only... you would need at least to recompile the sources for ARM platform to make it work on NITs ;)

Of course I could be wrong...
