How to keep off?
 

I'm learning about this fantastic new machine I got.

I find that sometimes, when I take the cover off, the device is on and is displaying the Home application. The problem is that I powered it down before putting the cover on, and expected it to stay off.

The way I see it is that, if I wanted it on, I would have pushed the power button, and it has no business turning itself on without my permission. :)

What is the secret to turning this thing off (so that it remains off)?

Does that mean this is a known defect and there is no solution? :(
