The Search Function - how to get AND functionality?
 

Hi folks,

How does one get AND functionality using the maemo talk search?

For example if I want to do a search on thread titles for Maemo Mapper and I just want the search to return only threads with both Maemo and Mapper in the titles?

Currently such a search returns all threads with either Maemo or Mapper in the title rather than only threads with those words in the title :(.

I've tried entering the search terms as:

• Maemo + Mapper
• Maemo AND Mapper
• "Maemo Mapper"

yet I still get returned threads with either word in them.

Have I missed something or is the functionality that I'm looking for just not available?

now thats funny.

if i do it, i get "AND" functionality by default. i have to explicitly enter "maemo OR mapper" to get OR.

what's even stranger is that I do remember i had this very same problem only a few days ago: i just couldn't get it to do "AND", it would always do "OR".

It's strange alright.
I *believe* it worked in the "old" forum although I'm not sure if the "new" forum is simply a different skin or whether it's new under the hood.

No doubt it will be "fixed in freemantle" :(.
