App manager causing strange graphics behavior
Lately I have noticed a couple of strange things with my N810.
The first is that it seems that things have slowed down. For instance, the app manager takes a looooong time to load, for instance, the list of installed apps. It also takes some time to complete installation of a package. The second is stranger. It seems like every other time I use the application manager to install something, I get some wierd behavior:
It seems to occur only every other time I install software. Anyone seen this? I was considering reflashing and restoring from backups, but I would also like to find time to set up dualboot/install to internal flash. --vr |

A program you were most likely installing would have been running that above command and failed. Hence losing the spinning dots. The most common cause for it to fail is lack of space. The JFFS2 filesystem used on the internal flash of your tablet wants as much space as possible. Which may explain your slowness, especially around updating packages and installing things as that will do a lot of writing to the flash. |

I'm guessing a lot of my problems with space would be solved by putting the filesystem on the internal flash...I just need to find time to read up and do it. The alternative would be to symlink things onto the flash, a habit I loathe doing. Thanks qwerty12. --vr |
