Nokia: 2 free apps
Park WiFi Detector
Parkcast These two apps are to celebrate the opening of their NYC store. They've WiFied 10 NYC parks and these are apps for that. http://parkwifi.nokia.com |
I love typo's
From the nokia site: "This handy application will automatically detect a free Nokia ParkWiFi network in the range and get you connected in quickly." in quickly? i think they meant to say "in seconds" lol@ nokia |
BTW, sniffer works anywhere. Tapping this @ Winter Garden.
|
it'd be nice if the wifidetector wouldn't crash my itT all the time.
update: had to turn off background scanning before I tried to do anything |
It never crashed mine. Got 2006?
Update: OIC. Update 2: Just crashed mine. And wouldn't let RSS load. Bugger. Still, it *looks* pretty... maybe a sign of OS 2007? |
i am liking the auto connect with the background scanning without having to open up a browser window. although i wonder how much of a battery drain it could be if its scanning all the time
|
what is the difference here with the in-bult thing that comes up with available networks to connect to? I use that to find hotspots/wifi connections when I'm out and about all over the place?
|
Any screenshots?
|
differences :
- auto-connect - can launch an previously specified app when connected to a specific network |
I'll see if I can put some snaps in the Gallery.
