KDE is somewhat heavy and wasn't meant for such a modest machine, so yes, it makes sense that it would drain the battery faster.

i installed debian just for glade application and it is 1.2 gb
and the only useful thing i find out about kde is that smplayer which is mplayer with a better gui. and kde is 1.35 gb
isn't that ridicilious almost 3gig of memory is being used for two tiny applications ?:D?

Well, you do know that those applications alone don't take up that space, right? You can use Synaptic to remove apps from the Debian image that you don't use.

so..
i just want glade
here is the steps right?
-remove all installed packages via package manager(except apt packages)
-apt-get update
-apt-get install glade

right?
infact what i wanna mean is which packages i should leave installed to just run glade

by the way as far as i knew
ext2 file is a partition so its size wont decrease by uninstalling packages.
how can i decrease its size after removing packages?

I know qole had put some instructions for resizing the partition somewhere in the Turbo Debian thread. I know he also has alternative images with just the bare essentials installed. Perhaps that would be more of interest to you, so that you can just install what you need and resize it and have it only be a few megabytes. I haven't tried it myself though.
