MyTube for Fremantle
 

It's still impossible to boot MyTube in Fremantle, although the reasons are evolving. Someone is working in the backstage!

new version for freemantle here:

have no idea how to promote it to extras or if it should at this stage.

Alright, now the app boots and it's somewhat functional. Not very user friendly, though:

- First boot dialogs ask for usual Linux directories, but not the ones available in the device ("/floppy"?)

- No finger friendly / Maemo 5 UI. Don't get me wrong: it's your choice. :)

Videos can be downloaded but mplayer is required to play them. Since there is no mplayer in extras-devel at the moment, this is how far I could get.

sorry, but i'm a little behind with the changes (whatsnew) in 5 UI and very short in free time :(

indeed, it's a pity that mplayer is not in the repositories yet.
if i remember well bundyo did an excelent job porting rc2 for diablo.
hopefully he will find some time to create a test package/binary,
since Sergei? is not maintaining mplayer anymore :(

rc2 would be even better given that it has much better flv support.
