Quasar is a cool frontend of Mplayer .

Install :
<del> To install , please use "dpkg -i package-name.deb" as root.
If you want to use AppManager, please use it in Red-Pill Mode.</del>

• 1.install Mplayer .
• <del>2.download libxinerama1_1.0.1-4.1_armel.deb from here and install it. </del>
• <del>3.download libqt3-mt_3.3.7_armel.deb (DL2) and install it.</del>
• <del>4.download quasar_0.96r169r31-maemo1_armel.deb and install it.</del>
• <del>4.download quasar_0.96r169r31-maemo2_armel.deb and install it.</del>
• <del>4.download quasar_0.96r172r31-maemo1_armel.deb and install it.</del>
• 2.install Quasar Media Player 0.96r188r31-maemo2 from Extras-devel(diablo/Multimedia section). (directlink)
  

Uninstall :

• <del>1. run "dpkg -r quasar libqt3-mt libxinerama1" as root.</del>
• 1. uninstall using AppManager
• 2.To remove your personal settings , run "rm -ri /home/user/.quasar" and answer carefully with yes or no to questions.

• For N800 users.

>> you can create a playlist of your music files by following command (in Xterm).
Once you open it in quasar , it'll be loaded automatically next time.

• When you want to set a cover art , but CoverArtDownloader can't find out it.

>> try to find and download it by your hands , and rename(format: "<artist> - <album>.jpg") and move it to your cover art directory(default: /home/user/.quasar/coverart/).

Looks like they've ripped off a whole lot of UI elements from iTunes. That's not to say that the app isn't cool, but I'm not sure Apple would appreciate it. ;)

I get "Incompatible Application Package" on step 2. I stopped there because I didn't know if the steps needed to be done in order.

please run "dpkg -i libqt3-mt_3.3.7-4chinook1_armel.deb" as root in Xterm.

but probably , I should make a package of libqt3-mt for Diablo ...</del>

Any thought about getting into Extras (or at least Extras-devel)? Installing it then would be trivial; and people wouldn't have to fight with red-pill mode or command lines.
