OS2008 feature upgrade problem after flash
I'm having issues after flashing the device with OS2008 (1:5.2008.43-7) feature upgrade. The update is shown in installed applications, but when trying to install Canola2, the application manager complaints that the update is missing?! Anyone had any similar problems?

I apologize, it said conflicting with OS2008 upgrade?!

Re: OS2008 feature upgrade problem after flash
OK, this thread should be renamed to something like Canola giving me hard time :). This has nothing to do with OS2008 upgrade, but rather with Canola, and lightmediascanner. It constantly complains that the liblightmediascanner is missing, even though it is installed, and the maemo extras devel repo added, I'm still unable to install Canola. This is getting a bit frustrating now... :(

Re: OS2008 feature upgrade problem after flash
It seems that Canola is searching for lightmediascanner 0.3.0-maemo2, while I have installed 0.3.0-maemo3 and Canola is in conflict with those. Oh yes, there still an issue with OS2008 feature upgrade missing... Any Canola guys out there, could use your help here. :)

First hint: do NOT use extras-devel

Ok, will try that now.

Re: OS2008 feature upgrade problem after flash
There seems to be a bit more to this OS2008 feature upgrade than just Canola. Just after ditching extras-devel repo, a bunch of updates showed up, and some of those are in conflict with the upgrade in question. For instance libncureses5(5.5-5)

What repo contains liblightmediascanner 0.3.0-maemo2?

Re: OS2008 feature upgrade problem after flash
Got it finally! The trick was to remove the maemo3 version, add extras for chinook, do canola-clean, and then install it from the web, and not from the application manager.
