Does the forum keep crashing?

maemo.org seems OK, but talk.maemo.org has crashed 4 or 5 times in the last couple of days (excessive load perhaps?) and stays down for about 5-10 minutes (from two different connections, home and work)

I saw this before (usually in the morning hours - which means 8:00-10:00 CEST), but it's more frequent now. Also, the overall performance seems to have suffered. Is this the server or is there a bottleneck between my ISP and tmo?

Time to upgrade the talk.maemo.org server off the N810 and onto the newer N900, I guess. :)

Lately, even I have been observing this t.m.o slowing patterns. Looks like some server issues?

I suppose this has nothing to do with the n900 launch and the nokia show ;-)

I have reconfigured the server's daily backup config that used to happen between 1-4am (EST). Everything should be good now.

I was wondering why the server load was higher than what it is supposed to. Apparently, during one of the server upgrade problems that happened early October, our host overwrote the database config files to the default settings.

I've now optimized the settings and you should all experience a speed boost here at Talk. Let me know though if you experience any slow downs within the day.

I actually noticed the opposite: talk is pretty spiffy but maemo.org is reaaaaaly slow.
Anyone noticed this?
