Mer won't load
 

I've been trying to get Mer to run on my N810 WiMax. It installs via flasher just fine and powering up the device brings up the Mer loading screen. The problem is that it appears to hang at about 55% (an estimate). I've let it sit for quite a while and it does nothing.

I've tried v0.14 and 0.15 to no avail. Both do the same thing. Is it not compatible with the WiMax version? Is there something I could do to push it along?

Did you ever get Mer to load on your N810-WiMax? If you did could you connect to a WiMax network?

Yeah thats the same problem Im having ... No matter what i do it gets stuck @ 55%

0.16 fixed that issue for WiMax.

Thanks I will try it out tonight...
I love the hardware ... minus the camera but I have not found the original software all the great, Im hoping Mer will change that for me

I tried to follow the original install instructions for the n810, basically answered YES to all the question got to the part where it asks for the URL of the image and I changed it to the 0.16 release. Downloaded fines extracted fine created root password and it asked me to flash again i said yes then press enter for reboot and the sme thing its seems to load up till about 55%

So I was thinking i was gonna try the flashing instructions... Im on vista so all I should have to do is get a livecd from somewhere and load that up then do the flash commands correct ? In doing that will that completely wipe out maemo to the point a bootloader is not needed?
