Nevermind that 2GHz ARM chip, there's already rumors of a dual-core 2GHz ARM chip in the works! Now I would love one of those in my next N series tablet!

-1 Apple crackpot article.

The news about the dual-core was in every article of new ARM Cortex I read. Also, it is rather high end for ARM standards. For notebooks.

I dont know about that.Its more likely that they were referring to the
OMAP4
* OMAP4430 - 720 MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore + PowerVR SGX 540 GPU + C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)
* OMAP4440 - 1+ GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore + PowerVR SGX 540 GPU + C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)

No, Osprey is the same generation (A9 MPCore), but a different manufacturing concept nonetheless. Here's a perhaps more descriptive article:

EDIT: wrong link

Thanks for that link. The article had a reference to the work done by Intrinsity (Fast14© Technology) on the cortex8 which is interesting.
