Always ontop notifications
Hello everyone. I've done some searching and I'd like to see if it's possible to always keep notifications on screen. I mean, when an email / im / sms is received, a little window at the top of the screen appears, which is great! Then it disappears which is also ok.
1) is it possible to extend the amount of time the notification is on screen? 2) if the screen is off, and you receive a message of a sort, and then turn on your screen, how can you tell short of just opening up the task manager (multi tasking window)? 3) if it's an IM, and you have the contact on your desktop, does a star or any type of notification show up on the contacts name on the desktop or anything like that? if not to any of them, would it be difficult to implement? Thanks in advance :D |

Re: Always ontop notifications
I haven't really seen enough of Maemo 5, but is there a location where all the notifications persist? i.e. if I get SMS, IM, Email, or something (sort of like the Android Notification Tray or the webOS notifications)

Upper left of the screen I believe. I thought I read something where there would be an area that would contain all the missed messages or whatever.

See the Dashboard page on Maemo.Nokia.com. The yellow box is a new email notification. |
