Open source game: Alien Arena

I am not into programming but i used to play a game called "Alien Arena". It's freeware and open source and there's a version for Linux.

Do you think it would be easily ported to maemo 5?

They've ported OpenArena, I don't see why AlienArena can't be ported, too...

We should schedule a little event for Maemo members to compete in (for fun) playing some of these multiplayer games. I'd suggest pushing it out to spring or June, giving the rest of us ample time to acquire our "precious", ports to be fine-tuned, and a little practice time.

Just a thought. Then again, what's to keep someone from joining from their desktop with more suitable controls/viewing area? Hmmm.
