When the HOLD Button Doesn't Hold
I have a case for my N900: something from Case Logic with a magnetic clasp. I used it for my N97, but the camera cover sensor on the N97 is also magnetic, and the camera turned on in the case. I have a lot of pictures of nothing.
The N900's camera sensor is some kind of white/light sensor -- there is a white/black piece connected to the camera door. But I still have problems with the Hold button -- it does not hold. I'm pretty sure I always hit it before the device goes into the case, but when it comes out, it's obvious that the screen turned on. Sometimes the icons are messed up -- desktop reconfigured -- or one of my contact icons was hit and their info is displayed. Is there anything else that can turn off hold other than the button and the screen slider? Something magnetic? Thanks. |

Check the giant can opener in your shipyard, professor. It has a magnificent magnet. (Just keep the robot away from it.)
