N900 Skype Contacts
 

Any of you N900 Owners let us know how the N900 handles Skype contacts. If Skype was a stand alone application, I would expect it to pull up its own list of contacts based on my account.

But It looks like the Skype functionality is deeply integrated into the Contacts app. Does it pull in the Skype Contacts and insert them into your contacts database?

I don't have a N900, but from what I've seen you can filter your contacts based on type - Skype, SIM, whatever.

Yes, there's a "filter by group" function that lets you choose any account type.

Just to be specifically clear. Yes, it pulls down your Skype contacts. It also pulls down you Gtalk, Jabber and Ovi Chat contacts, if you have defined them. If you use the Haze plugins for Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc. - it will pull those down as well, after you have defined those accounts.

You can filter by group, you can also sort by online status, you can also merge contacts, if you like as well.
