RSS feed from Basecamp
For some reason if I paste the rss feed from http://www.Basecamphq.com into the newsreader it does not accept it as a valid address.
Anybody tried this? |
Update: I till can't connect to their Rss feed.
Has anybody has issues with connecting to any rss feeds? |

"invalid address". Same address works fine some another programs for example "feed reader for Windows". I dont know what went wrong with my N770? |
I didn't find any rss feed from that basecamp.com site. I tried rss feeds from rockclimbing site and those seemed to work fine.
I think the best way to subscribe rss feed is to hold pen few seconds over the link and select "Copy link location" and then paste the link rss application. I have noticed that some rss feeds didn't work if its link is not written excatly same way with upper cases & lower cases. |
Oeps ! The url of Basecamp was wrong - I corrected it.
To have access to the RSS proj. Mngmt program you need an account. But I did already earlier what you suggested. Without succes. Does anybody know somekind of tech reason for this, so I can inform the people from BasecampHQ. |
I would try posting this issue to the maemo-users mailing list. If it truly is a 770 issue, the right people may see it and fix it.

My guess is that news reader does not support RSS authentication, yet ;)
|
A newsfeed from slashdot works.
But Basecamphq needs first a login and password. I can't find a option window for that in the newsreader. A friend told me that in url string you need to put a code for login and password and then next the url of the feed. But he doesn't know anymore the exact way to do this. Can anybody help? |

http://username<colon>password@www.Basecamphq.com/ Obviously replacing the username and password with your login credentials and a colon character for <colon> Be aware that it is relatively unsecure to use this authentication method, but if you aren't too worried about it, go ahead and try it. Cheers, Michiel |
ok, try this way:
http://username:password@your_rss_link.com/rss_feed Edit: oh, Michiel was faster than me :) I tried this and it worked for me! |
