i'm using my n800 inflight on the redeye between san diego and atlanta. i've gotta say it's pretty zippy

Delta and airtran are offering it for free for new accounts until the end of December. Virgin America is offering it for free until mid Jan I think.

I could not tell the difference between surfing on my n800 on the plane vs my home wifi network - i was able to stream youtube etc.

A friend paid 25GBP for a bus from Oslo to Goteborg today. It had free wireless internet and a power point to plug in. The alternative was a plane for 350GBP one way!

Let's hope inflight (wi-fi) internet becomes ubiquitous. Perhaps i nthe subway too (but I don't mind no cellphone coverage as it's too noisy already, and worse with people shouting over the noise of the train!).
