Video editing software?

Is there a video editing software available to make short videoclips from the videos taken with the N900?
Something simple like cutting videos, paste them with transitions, add a song, add text...

Or the same with photos, to do slideshows of holidays with music and text for example?

Thanks
Peio

Did you want to do this on the N900 or on a desktop? If Desktop what environment (OS) were you thinking of? There are lots of desktop video editing suites.

I noticed that the iphone 3gs lets you trim video clips. It would be nice to be able to do this. Better would be a simple app that lets you trim and connect several clips in sequence and add basic titles for upload to youtube, etc.

The simple video editor would be a good idea for a concept app at the Code meets UX in Barcelona.

They could port virtual dub, it's acutally the most complex video editing software out there :D
Slimming it down and making it simpler would be great!

Virtual dub is codec dependant so basicly there's not a thing it can't do :)
