Fenec or not?
 

Im a litte bit confused after read lots of post. its fenec the default browser on maemo 5 or N900? its micro b? or just another browser?

MicroB is the default browser, and it is based on Fennec.

Not really fennec based ... rather gecko based, right?

But to answer the authors question: MicroB is the default browser, but you can install fennec (beta stage at the moment) if you want.

well, microb is based on gecko and so is fennec. Microb is still the better of the two. Fennec needs more work.

+1. The only thing I like significantly more in Fennec is how you switch between tabs/windows. MicroB in the Maemo5 incarnation is still not too good in that regard.
