encryption and privacy, is there GPG PGP support?
As far as I tested with the SDK, there is no GPG or PGP support for modest, is there? what about signed messages? do I need to install another client for encrypted emails?
It is a key feature for privacy in times not only Governments decide to track everything. Most of average joe users dont even know about features like encryption, TOR, RFID-safe pockets, etc. GPG is available on most linux distributions so it is on maemo 5 but why isnt it made available for average joe? well, I install "the one and only" email program for console jockeys (mutt), and have all I need, threaded view, GPG, VI for editing... but what does someone not able to build their environment for using gpg with proper libs an so? it was already asked for securing the device to loan or share with someone... I think this is worth a brainstorm item http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...rage_joe_ready @talk http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=377829 |

More specifically: GPG is installed by default on the device, but Modest doesn't have support for PGP/MIME messaging.
FWIW on Diablo it worked with claws-mail and mutt. |
