Mylo website on N770
Accessing mlyo.com or sony.com/mylo on a pc redirects to a high resolution flash page. This is also the result of using Minimo on the 770.
However, visit these sites with the built in Opera browser and you'll see a very narrow page that appears to be for use from the mylo device. Could this be intentional? It could be the result of loose user agent checks, since the mylo also uses Opera. My N770 user agent is Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; ; Linux armv5tejl; U) Opera 8.02 [en_US] Maemo browser 0.4.31 N770/SU-18 . I think this contains sufficient information to exclude Nokia users from this site. |
What is your point exactly?
|
... uh, well I think that points to the Mylo using Opera?
|
Yes, Opera version 8.02, as 770:
http://my.opera.com/operaonmylo/foru....dml?id=157128 EDIT: Not only Opera, also runs linux: http://www.myloforums.net/showpost.p...33&postcount=4 It's a 770 concept copy but without the most important feature, a very big screen :) |
Sorry for the messy post.
My point is: Does Sony intentionally allow Nokia users to access the site, or is this accidental since both devices use the same browser? |
My guess is the browser. Both are based on Opera for devices (though I could be wrong since sometimes I like to make things up). Must look really funny on that nice wide 770 screen tho.

The webdesigners who made that website probably have 770s themselves. Ha!
