Best email client with spam control?
I have looked through some older posts and saw that users were recommending the claws mail client if you want to have some control of spam. Is this still the general consensus? Thanks

Re: Best email client with spam control?
Hi, what is this about? Linux Desktop? N810? N900?
Normally it's up to a specific application, like SpamAssassin or Bogofilter. Unrelated to the email application itself as long as it's supported. |
Re: Best email client with spam control?
Claws-mail comes with plugins for both SpamAssassin and Bogofilter. Both do local filtering on the client and require the corresponding back-end to be installed as well. IMHO if at all possible you should do the spam labelling on the server and just filter on headers on the client.

Re: Best email client with spam control?
I think, claws is good email client but it isn't hildonized yet. Regarding to SPAM it leverages bogofilter/spamassassin etc. of course, but from what I know, Modest MUA does not have filtering at all. And, as a general side note, having all the anti-spam stuff may hog precious memory.
