From my experience as a 34-year-old gadget fancier, I suspect the "up to two hours play" means a half-hour of internet use with WIFI on and somewhat more than an hour when the unit plays MP3s with the monitor backlight all the way down (or off). Why bother making it sleek and portable when there's no benefit in transporting it away from the wall electricity plug? Ever hear of the Clarion MIND? It was really slick on paper but sold so poorly that its price plummeted from $500-700 all the way down to $150 a few months into its life cycle. Its problem was a battery life comparable to this one. |
