Universal spell check

I would like to know if it is possible for a spell check to be integrated into the OS in such a way so spelling can be corrected in the email (most important), messaging, web browsing etc. From trying the maemo 5 virtually I havnt found this feature.

If you use automatic completion of words I'd call that half of a spellcheck already. :-)

I think having a spell check is important in a device which is meant to be god at emailing. I dont know the procedure but can this be put forward in the brainstorm?
