Mobile Search App like E71 or iPhone Spotlight
Is there an App on N900 that saerch all objects on it?
I mean the Mobile Search on Nokia E71 or, the Spotlight on iPhone, or better, the Search on Palm Pre: Just Open Slider-Keyboard and beginn to type -> Search in all Contacts, Mails (all: MfE, Pop, etc.), Documents, Media (Music, Video, Pict.), Cal (Meetings, Todos, note, birthdays), Bookmarks, Apps, in App-Search, Ovi-Map-Points, wikipedia, google, youtube etc. I know, that have to use a very powerful index and such a architecture at bottom, but would be nice. Is there any Search-App like that? |

maybe it would be interesting to port tracker to maemo.
I think that the daemon could be easily ported, plugins would need to be lightly rewritten, and UI woud have to be written from scratch. I think it could work well. Anyone interested? http://projects.gnome.org/tracker/ |

It is used for example for finding your media files wherever they are in your memory cards etc. |
