US Tmobile APN
out box, N900 was using internet2.voicestream.com for its APN. It worked fine but i've changed my APN setting to epc.tmobile.com.
Do you guys know which one would be appropriate one (faster?) to use on N900 with 3G connection? |
Re: US Tmobile APN
What differences do you notice? Maybe try a speed test and compare the two APNs..

I can't give you speed comparisons, but I can say that all the 3g devices shipped by tmobile generally use the epc APN. That seems to be what they prefer these days.

Re: US Tmobile APN
So you can get 3g from a 9.99 plan?

Re: US Tmobile APN
Ok, well I want to add data for just myself on a family plan, and Im thinking the only way to bypass getting the 24.99 plan is just changing my phone on the tmobile website to the shadow or something and asking them to add me to the web2go plan which is just 9.99...But it would be pointless if there was a limit like 5GB or something, even though it says unlimited. And I couldnt get 3g. Some have said you will only get EDGE, so slightly confused.

Re: US Tmobile APN
i dont think there is a limit to 5gb and yes you can get 3g on 9.99 plan and someone said on tzone also, if there is 3g in your area like above post stated,
i currently have 9.99 unlimited web for dumbphones, running on internet2.voicesteam.com. i am in ct my 3g speeds are between 700 and 800 |
Re: US Tmobile APN
I have the grandfather data plan, $5.99 and still access the net fine. There is no 3G in my area so I dont get it here but when I went for the Thanksgiving holiday to pittsburgh, I was able to shuff the net on the Tmobile 3G net with no limit whatsoever.
