maemo.org issue on the N900 and photo sharing via pixelpipe

Good morning everyone, i was going to post this from my N900, but i hit a slight issue i think - will explain that bottom of this post!

First Issue
My main issue here, is the look of this website on the N900. I'm used to being able to see what page i am in a thread, and easily skip forwards.

This screen-shot is what i see...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2658/...91bcde85_o.png

note the left hand side is squished, and the right hand side of the numbers have disappeared :(

With the browser i am currently using (standard, with the device) - is there something i can do?

Secondly........
photo sharing, so i can make it easy to link photo's like i have above? (That took me forever to figure what file name flickr gave it - and i needed to view the source!)

I have pixelpipe, setup facebook, flickr, ftp and my blog...
Thought FTP wow, i can easily link to photos now.... - yet it gives the files a randomly stupid name that i would not know unless i went to check.
Flickr doesnt let me know the filename, well not easily straight from pixelpipe
facebook doesnt....
And well, the blog isnt really a picture file hoster, more a blog....

Please can someone help pointing me in the right direction? :) :)

It does this on smaller monitors too, its the forum, nothing to do with the phone I think its trying to adjust itself incorrectly.

Secondly.... I don't have it yet hope someone else can help you

Yeah, my theory is that this forum is obviously wrapped onto the website, when the screen gets smaller it has to wrap the long sentences into new paragraphs thus starts on a new line so that it fits your viewing width by sacrificing the length.

I have a 19" wide here, so no problem, however at my parents they have a 15" and the texts shown above do tend to add new lines.

The problem with this is that I think they are using 100% width, which obviously means fit 100% to the viewers screen, if they fix it at say 800px, it may be better for computer monitors, but when it comes down to handheld devices, you will be scrolling left/right all over place as it is handheld :P

May have to just put up with it.

I also have the same issue with this forum only my N95 8GB, and my PSP (using remote play to my PS3). It's a bit of a pain!

The only way I can think, if it is wrapped, wrap it in another domain called n900.meamo.org/forums and make it fit the n900 perfectly.

However I could be wrong

interesting idea on the wrapping :) - sure there must be a solution :) (Limit the titles, or have it set on 2 full lines etc...

Anyway - no-one else uploads pictures from their n900?!?! :)

Use the "All Sizes" link for the image on Flickr to select an appropriately sized version for posting, plus get the URLs for both the image itself and the (required by Flickr) link back to its page.

You could try the other themes for the forum to see if there's one you prefer.

thankyou very much. will test theme in a minute.

with regards to the images, what i think i need is either flickr integration on here or upload fumctionality, or once uploaded, the shorcut copies into memory. means i can easily do everythimg on the n900 and not have to swap to the laptop like i did this morning.

maybe i could learn to code :) hehe
