N900 accelerometer issues
 

Hi I've found a bug for the accelerometer.
If you power off the device and recharge it from this state, when you power on the device the accelerometer does not work (at least in my device). I think there are some problem in the calibration procedure.
To work correctly again I must switch off, remove battery and restart again.

My accelerometer works always fine... until I read your post... :D
Did you find some solution for the accelerometer? I mean, something better than reboot it

is is locked in one position? Cause that happened to mine! the eye widget was looking to the left all the time. Lol...

I had to flash the device to get it working again though..

flash the device? O_o
isn't it sufficient to reboot the device?

EDIT: for me a simple reboot works...

Hi guys, same thing here. The accelerometer don't work all the time and when it does....does'n work very well and fluid.

Same with contacts...not always change the display rotating it. it's like locked in landscape position. Any ideas?

A reflash can solve this permanently?

not sure. But if you have tried reboots, and leaving the battery out for a while and that doesent do the trick, then i would consider flashing.

It solved my issue, but mine was completely locked.
Yours is partially working after what i read.

Same problem here, reboot fixes it.

It's happened 2-3 times, I've had it less then 48 hours.

I have the same problem, which I discovered at my first charge. At first I thought that I had to take out the battery to fix it. It seems that it gets restored when you power the phone off (at least up to now it has worked). I'm not sure about the cause, tough. I'm not certain what causes it and I was very worried about my defective accelerometer. I've created another thread but nobody answered it.

Now, would it be possible to reset the accelerometer without powering the phone off?
