I can see part of it in hover mode. It's tricky. Best look it up in the manual.

Is Greasemonkey ported to the N900? If so, there are scripts that can show you the XKCD title text.

You mean that you need a means to read the *title* text. Reading the alt text for any image should only be done if the image doesn't display.

xkcd doesn't use alt text the intended way. Instead, alt text is used to provide an additional piece to the humor of the comic.

That might be the case; though looking at the source code for today's xkcd, I doubt it ;)

The "title" text for xkcd is often referred to by the term "alt text" even if it's not called that in the source code.

Perhaps an xkcd comic reader would be useful?

are you sure about this?

look at this one:
http://xkcd.com/673/

the alt-text reads:
Quote:

The Sun
the title-atribute contains:
Quote:

Obligatory bad guy: This operation is sheer foolishness, and it's not happening on my watch! Mainly because I can't figure out how to adjust the time.
which do you want to read?

Gotcha. And again I wish the Maemo browser had a "View source" option. wget is so inconvenient.
