Sorry Nokia (Europe) - Lack of info- 3G Hutchinson Issue

Subject: Hutchinson SIM-card NOT working bug

as most here I have been waiting to get my N900 since I ordered it ( think i September)

FINALLY got it TODAY !....and due to the Hutchinson Three (3G) SIM card issue, the damn phone does NOT work.
I was under the impression that ONLY the quite recently dated Hutchinson SIM cards was not going to work, but my card is 3 years old.

YES, I do feel pretty let down by Nokia, I did know that they want all to up-date the phone first thing, SO I DID...it was not easy as I was NOT possible to do with the non working SIM-card, so I had to borrow one.

after dealing with all this for almost an hour, FINALLY UP-DATED.......
STILL NOT accepting the Hutchinson Three SIM-card !

I was stupid to believe that Nokia with the up-date fixed this pretty serious issue.
as I bought the N900 from Nokia themselves they could have sent an email saying, SORRY we still have not worked out the Hutchinson bug....BUT it is anticipated to be ready XXX.

so at the moment I have finally got my N900....but for what use?
Will most likely return it...

Would not have been so let down if they had communicated this issue CLEARLY

It has been repeatedly said that the fix for those will come in PR1.1, which should be around the corner.

In Sweden they initially planned to hold off the release until the 3 SIM issue was fixed, but changed that after loads of whining about us getting the phones later than the rest of Europe. Now they've sent out the ones ordered with them, still nothing at retailers. Would you prefer it not to be available now at all?

I'm in the UK and my about 3 years old H3G sim works with no problem.

I think we live in a Communication world...don't you agree...how hard can it be to send out an email....
how would you feel to have a brand new EXPENSIVE device lying on your table to NO USE....would you have accepted this if it was a car, house or even a Lap-top ?

I was just saying that Nokia could have provided a better customer service...INFORMATION...to soften the blow

I live in the US and know the 3 cards don't work. Be patient, my friend. Help is at most weeks, possibly days away.
