Gaim preferences
 

So, I've had gaim running for awhile. And its not so bad. But one thing I've never been able to fix yet is preferences. So I'll go under the settings, change it to only play a sound when conversation begins (as opposed to every line). Or, I'll change it to automatically reconnect.

But then when I restart gaim, the prefs default back to the original.

Am I missing the obvious here.....?
