Run Leafpad as Root?
Didn't know what else to title this as. I ran Leafpad out of a Root shell and it didn't change anything as far as viewable files are concerned. How do I get a Graphical Text editor to see the "Entire" file system? So that maybe I could edit files in etc without using vi/vim?

Re: Run Leafpad as Root?
Try again? I am able to use rootsh and leafpad to edit config files. Of course, permissions will have to be rw on the file you want to edit. chmod +w will add it if necessary.

When I hit open in Leafpad, it only "sees" the MyDocs folder as the top of the directory. |

In a terminal window, you can do
Code:
leafpad somefile.ext |
