First Post: Hotmail
Hi Folks, just bought a 770, and I've worked in the computer industry so I know all about opensource, and am looking forward to "the great adventure." I'm guessing this begins with the forum method of getting support.
OK, so here's my problem, I've had my N770 for three days, and have just begun to explore. First thing I tried to do was access my hotmail, which worked in "Light Version, Windows Live Mail" mode. Somehow it just detected it needed light version and signed in that way. I've been doing various things, no installs, just looking at the setup, trying to get bluetooth working etc, changed to handwriting input, and back. Next time I tried to access hotmail, I got a message that javascript had been disabled. So my problem is: Where do I re-enable javascript, and how do I figure out why it's been disabled? Or any other trouble shooting tricks that I need. When I get really comfortable, I know there's lots of javascript and JVM enhancements that i'm going to want. Next thing, how to backup and flash the thing, but I'll look around a while before I get to that one. -Thanks, Trey |
Hotmail Gmail too
By the way gmail has the same problem for me. Any suggestions?

I looked last night, I didn't see any settings in opera to enable or disable javascript. I know you've just gotten it, but my response is to flash it. You may have accidentally set something elsewhere that is affecting your browser. I'm not sure though. I know I don't have any issues with gmail.

enable/disable javascript is right there in the menu for the opera browser.
It is a little box that you can check or uncheck. You might want to look for it a little bit before you flash..... open opera, click the menu button (the middle one) and navigate around "options" or "settings".... jeepers!! |

Thanks Folks
OK, got it, everything works normally now with Javascript. I'm still not sure how I turned it off after the initial go round with hotmail, but that hardly matters now, does it.
=Thanks again, Trey |
