Internet connection swapping when search is turned off
 

So I am on AT&T (yah i know, no 3g, bummer) and I have the settings for internet connections set to connect automatically to AT&T internet. Search interval is set to never and swap to wifi when available is off.
Yet I will sometimes find myself stuck on some free public wifi that leads to nowhere and no longer on my AT&T connection.

Anyone else had an issue with that? Maybe the search interval will keep me on the ATT thing?
