Easy remote access to accelerometer reading

As root, sshfs mount the n900 file system root to, say, /tmp/n900
Then:
Code:

cat /tmp/n900/sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-3/3-001d/coord
Or use C, perl, python, whatever.

Why is this useful? The only way for the n900 to lie flat and level is on its face. A bit hard to see the display.

NOTE WELL:
Allowing remote access by root is dangerous.
Exporting root of file system is dangerous.
Doing anything in terminal is dangerous.
Know what you are doing before you do it.
blah, blah, blah, ...

Look, it is very easy for a motor vehicle operator to mash the gas pedal to the floor and steer the vehicle into a bridge abutment at 100kmph or even 200kmph. Most people know not to do this. Know what you are doing before you do it. Take appropriate steps to mitigate risks.

j.s, you worry too much. :D

This gives me an app idea... An alarm. have the app on your laptop/desktop ssh into the phone and cat coord every x times a second, and if the numbers change more than an allowed amount, signal an alarm on the desktop.

I know, it would be a pretty useless app, but hey! We gotta catch up to the Apple app store in useless apps! LOL
